Cross-country skiing at Lassen

Only a one-hour drive east from Redding, Lassen Volcanic National Park is a serene place to enjoy spring snowscapes. Head out to tromp around on snowshoes or build a snow man. The park road is closed to traffic during winter, but adventurous types can explore it on cross-country skiis or snowshoes.
