I went to IFT for the same reason that most new instructors go to any flight school, to build flight time. However, it wasn’t until I moved on to my current job that I realized that I had gained something much more valuable. Because IFT trains their students to go directly to multiple airlines, their curriculum embodies the same standardization as most airlines and flight departments worldwide. This standardization gave me the cutting edge when I went to interview at Air Cargo Carriers. During the simulator portion of the interview I used the same call outs and procedures I had been teaching my students. The interview panel was impressed by this and offered me a job on the spot. I would highly recommend working at IFT to anyone. By working there you will learn the same skills you will use for the rest of your career, one step ahead of everyone else.
